Alex completed his specialist training in Victoria and has worked at multiple tertiary hospitals including The Royal Melbourne Hospital, St Vincent’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Alex has two years’ experience working overseas in United Kingdom, and completed a fellowship in Dermatology and Lymphovascular Medicine at St George’s Hospital in London. He is passionate about dermatology in the developing world and has spent time volunteering in Tanzania and Myanmar. 

Alex was awarded the Herman Lawrence Prize in Clinical Dermatology. His research has been published in a number of medical journals, and presented at both national and international conferences. 

Dr Alex has in interest in general medical dermatology and dermatology procedures. He consults privately at The Dermatology Clinic in Mulgrave, Melbourne. Dr Alex works as a consultant dermatologist at The Alfred Hospital where he is involved in education of medical students and dermatology trainees. He also provides rural outreach clinics to Sale through Central Gippsland Health. He is committed to lecturing at General Practitioner training workshops.

Alex is dedicated to all aspects of general dermatology including skin cancer, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and paediatric conditions. Alex is keen to help patients overcome their skin problems.
